PROJECT SPACE/ ARTSPACE

See Lab transformed the former gym of the school building into a project space of more than 130 m2. This space has an impressively high ceiling, excellent lighting and sound possibilities, and is situated just next to the sea! It offers a platform for presentation, production, reflection and artistic debate. See Lab frequently collaborates with practitioners looking for an opportunity to try out and experiment with new work and exhibition formats. The space is also available for commercial projects and events.

OPENING TIMES AND EXHIBITIONS

The See Lab exhibitions follow a standard length and opening time format, but we are also open to discussion to fit individual needs. The exhibition will last for 10 days, opening on Fridays at 18h with a vernissage (shorter exhibitions can be arranged, in conversation with the programming committee).

See Lab will manage the bar and a simple soup/bread option, which visitors can enjoy in our newly renovated Common Space. 

  • The exhibition will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 13-17 and during the week upon appointment. 

  • The exhibiting artist(s) are in charge of opening, manning and closing the exhibition. 

  • Furthermore, the space will be available for +2 days buildup/experimentation before the exhibition opening, and 1 day breakdown after it closes.


COSTS
We work with a tier price list. Please get in touch about the nature of your work and situation and we will discuss costs with you. See Lab is also able to help with a formal invitation letter for funding purposes for artists.

AVAILABLE AMENITIES

  • Projector (installed in ceiling, facing the far wall)

  • Stage lights (installed in the ceiling)

  • Ladder 

  • Blackout curtains

  • Access to the common room and garden for exhibition purposes (upon request). 

  • Bar (manned by See Lab volunteers) during events taking place in the common room + project space. 

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES

  • Optional rental of sound system (price upon inquiry).

  • Optional photography of the exhibition (price upon inquiry).

  •  In case the exhibiting artist decides to use their own photographer, See Lab requests access to use some of the photographs for documentation of the exhibition on our website and socials.

  • Please send your application (1 page text max including suggested dates + additional visual documentation - i.e. sketches/previous work/mockup, all in one PDF file) to seelabprojectspace@gmail.com . 

  • Please include a plan as to how you are planning to finance the payment of the rent of the project space.
