ABOUT
See Lab is an artist-run cultural incubator, founded in 2016. This creative haven is located near the beach in Scheveningen, in an old school building that offers 22 affordable workspaces for artists. In addition to renting out studios, See Lab provides space and opportunities to develop, share, and showcase artistic activities.
See Lab features a large project space for exhibiting, creating, or presenting contemporary art, a bar/meeting room, and a green garden where art and nature come together in the former tiled courtyard. Contact us to explore options and opportunities.

WORKSPACES
See Lab rents out studios to professional art and culture makers with a ' Do It Yourself ' attitude. A typical studio is 50m2, making it possible to share a room and keep costs low. The studios are located on the ground floor, first floor and second floor of the school building. The layout is designed so the semi-public spaces are located on the ground floor, making them easily accessible and giving it a public character.
7 NEW STUDIOS WELCOMED NEW ARTISTS
In the past years See Lab developed 7 extra artist workspaces on the second floor. The realisation of the extra artist workspaces was made possible with the generous financial support of the Municipality of The Hague and Stroom The Hague.
The workspaces are build in 2018 with the financial support of Gemeente Den Haag, Cultuur Ondernemen and Stroom Den Haag.

EXHIBITIONS, EVENTS AND RESIDENCIES
See Lab transformed the former gym of the school building into a project space of more than 130 m2. This project space has an impressively high ceiling, excellent lighting and sound possibilities, and is situated just next to the sea! It offers a platform for presentation, production, reflection and artistic debate.
See Lab produces and hosts small & large scale experimental art exhibitions, presentations, events and artist talks on a regular basis. Besides organising our own program See Lab is open to collaborate with guest curators, guest artists and other international artist run spaces.

See Lab operates based on a DIY setup and mentality. The starting point for joining our community is the willingness to commit to the development and maintenance of the building, our program, and the community.
The efforts and qualities of the members made what See Lab is today. Our strength is diversity in background, age, and skills. As well as our shared belief that collaboration and exchange make a valuable contribution to the development of both individual practice and the creative sector in The Hague.
